How many tipis will I need?
The number of tipis necessary for your event will depend on how you plan to use the tipis and how many guests will be attending your event. Visit our floorplans page to view some sample layouts or contact us and we will be happy to advise you on the ideal arrangement for your event.
Are your tipis weatherproof?
Our tipis are made from durable, weatherproof canvas. Rain is no problem! If your site is at risk of flooding, please have a backup location planned. If strong winds are predicted and your site is in an exposed area, we will work with you to arrange the safest time to set up and take down the tents. In the event of high winds, a more sheltered back up site is recommended.
What should I look for when choosing a site?
- Does your site have good access for 4x4 vehicles?
- How exposed is the site? In the case of severe weather, is there a backup site available?
- Is the ground well drained or is it at risk of flooding?
- Is the ground level?
- Does the site have underground utilities that would prevent digging? (i.e. power lines, water pipes, etc)
- Does the site provide services like bathrooms, water and electricity?

Can the tipis be set up on concrete?
Unfortunately we cannot set up our tipis on concrete.
Can the tipis be set up on the beach?
Yes! As long as the sand is level and the tents are at no risk from rising tides this is no problem.
How much ground space do the tipis need?
Each tipi is 34 feet diameter with the sides down and 43 feet diameter with the sides raised. The exact amount of ground space required will depend on your event layout. Layouts are quite flexible! Please view our floorplans page for some examples and measurements of various layouts.
Can the tipis be set up on uneven or sloping ground?
To ensure the comfort of your guests and the structural integrity of the tents we cannot set up our tipis on uneven or sloped sites unless the slope is very minimal. If you have any doubts we can always come visit your site if you are nearby.
What areas do you cover?
We are based in Charleston, South Carolina and serve the southeast region, we are happy to travel to your event! Delivery charges are calculated based on the distance between your venue and Charleston. Please contact us if you are concerned that you may be outside of our region, we may be available or can recommend another vendor.
How long is the event tent rental period?
The typical rental period is 48 hours. We usually set up the tents one or two days before your event and take them down one or two days after the event concludes. We will happily extend the rental period if necessary and will of course work with your venue and event planner to coordinate a schedule that works on all ends.
